About Shag Night
The shag is the official state dance of South Carolina and a beloved tradition across the Carolina coast. Tuesday nights here are casual and welcoming. Experienced dancers glide through the classics while newcomers pick up a few steps from the people around them, and nobody is expected to be perfect.
About Seven Mile Post
Seven Mile Post brings a slice of the coast to Market Street each Tuesday with space to dance, a full bar, and food to keep you going between songs. Retro Gaming Night starts at 7:00 PM too, so groups can split their night however they like.
Why You Shouldn't Miss It
It is free, it is friendly, and it is one of the best ways to spend a Tuesday in Wilmington. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a partner, or find one on the floor.
