About Shag Night
The Carolina shag is North Carolina's official state dance, and it is all about smooth footwork and easy rhythm. Shag Night is an open dance, not a formal class, so the best approach is to come relaxed, watch a few songs, and join in when you are ready. The regulars are a friendly bunch.
About Seven Mile Post
Seven Mile Post keeps coastal Carolina culture alive on Market Street, pairing beach music nights with a full bar and bar food. On Tuesdays, Retro Gaming Night also gets going at 7:00 PM for anyone in your group who would rather hold a controller than a dance partner.
Why You Shouldn't Miss It
There is no better low pressure way to try a new dance. It is free, the music is great, and by the end of the night you might just have the basic step down.
